Anthony Yoshikawa | Senior Project Coordinator

As the Senior Project Coordinator at Friends of the Mariana Trench, Anthony manages the organization’s administration, human resources, accounting, and project budgeting. He oversees day-to-day operations, supports recruitment and personnel management, and ensures compliance with organizational and grant-related requirements. Anthony also develops and monitors project budgets, maintains financial records, and assists in coordinating reporting for ongoing initiatives — helping ensure that every project runs efficiently and responsibly in support of FOMT’s mission.

Anthony is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that safeguards one of the planet’s most extraordinary marine ecosystems. He takes pride in supporting the behind-the-scenes systems that make conservation work possible — from effective team management to responsible financial stewardship. For him, ensuring transparency, accountability, and operational strength is key to enabling the team’s impact in protecting our ocean.

Anthony brings extensive experience in administrative leadership, financial management, and program coordination, with over a decade of service in the government sector and private industry. Prior to joining FOMT, he held key roles at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, the CNMI Board of Parole, and the CNMI Department of Commerce, where he managed grants, finances, human resources, and operational compliance. His strong background in budgeting, auditing, and organizational systems ensures FOMT’s programs are both effective and sustainable.
