Alexi Rebuenog | Project Coordinator

Alexi serves as a Project Coordinator at Friends of the Mariana Trench, leading volunteer management, education, outreach, and communications efforts that connect communities to ocean conservation through learning and engagement. Prior to joining FOMT, she gained hands-on experience in field conservation with the Ecology of Bird Loss Project and Pacific Bird Conservation, where she led research teams studying native bird species such as the Rota Bridled White-eye and Saipan Reed Warbler. She also assisted in organizing the Mariana Islands Conservation Conference for Tåno, Tåsi, yan Todu, coordinating logistics and volunteer recruitment. Alexi holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Rehabilitation and Human Services and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Education from Northern Marianas College. She brings cultural insight, strong communication skills, and a deep passion for empowering communities to engage in conservation and cultural preservation across the Marianas.
